Indications:Tamoxifen
Tamoxifen is used to treat some types of breast cancer in men and women. Tamoxifen is also used to lower a woman's chance of developing breast cancer
Contra- indications:Tamoxifen
You should not take tamoxifen if you are allergic to it, or if you have: a history of blood clots in your veins or your lungs; or if you are also taking a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin).Do not use tamoxifen if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby.
Administration:Tamoxifen
Administrate tamoxifen as your doctor has prescribed. It is not indicated to take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Take this medication with a full glass of water. Tamoxifen can be taken with or without food.
For the treatment of metastatic breast cancer in females, the optimal serving of tamoxifen will be 20–40 mg everyday, beginning with the actual 20 mg dosage. A dose of 30 milligrams everyday is managed in separated dosages (morning as well as evening)

Tamoxifen stops the action of estrogen, a female hormone. Particular types of breast cancer make estrogen to grow. This drug is used to cure some types of breast cancer in men and women. Tamoxifen is indicated to minimize a woman's chance of developing breast cancer if she has a highly exposed (such as a family history of breast cancer).
Precautions:
To enssure you can safely administrate tamoxifen, announce your doctor if you have any of these health problems: liver disease; high cholesterol or triglycerides (a type of fat in the blood); a history of stroke or blood clot; a history of cataract; or if you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation.
The administration of tamoxifen can increase your risk of uterine cancer, stroke, or a blood clot in the lung, which can be fatal. You need to discuss with your doctor about the administration of this medicine and about the risks you are exposed to by taking this drug.
Hormonal contraception (such as birth control pills, injections, implants, skin patches, and vaginal rings) may not enough sure to prevent pregnancy while your treatment. It is not prooved whether tamoxifen passes into breast milk or if it could harm a newborn baby. Anyway, this drug can minimize breast milk production. It is not indicated to breast-feed if you are taking tamoxifen.
Side effects:Tamoxifen
Unusual menstrual durations, dizziness, headaches, tiredness, lack of urge for food, nausea and/or throwing up, vaginal dry skin or even blood loss, discomfort of the skin round the vagina. A rise in the quantity of thrombus, specifically in women who are receiving anticancer drugs together with tamoxifen. A over doubled chance of developing uterine cancer. Symptoms – Irregular vaginal hemorrhaging reducing abdominal (pelvic) pain. Increased chance of creating falls and other eye issues for example corneal scarring or even retinal changes.
Over dosage:
In case of overdosing, call a doctor or go to an emergency point.
